“Half Slips”
Slip is a woman's undergarment worn beneath a dress or skirt to help it hang smoothly and to prevent chafing of the skin from coarse fabrics such as wool. Slips are also worn for warmth, and to protect fine fabrics from perspiration.
A half slip hangs from the waist. May also be called a waist slip
Slips are usually made of a smooth and slippery fabric such as silk, satin, polyester, tricot or nylon, although cotton slips are also used particularly in hot countries. They are often decorated with lace at the edges and hem, and are typically worn over more intimate undergarments. Slips are also worn for modesty under translucent outer garments.
Purpose of half slip:
You wear a half slip when you're wearing a sheer skirt and you don't want people to see through it, but you are wearing a thick top so you don't need to wear a whole slip.
The purpose of wearing a slip is not so that people can see the slip but so that people can't see through your clothes especially your skirts.
Modesty (if you're wearing something thin), and to keep uncomfortable material from scratching you. It's not supposed to be seen. I never wear a full or half slip
Some half slips just feel better than the fabric of an unlined skirt. Silky and soft slips
Half Slips was so popular in the 1930’s till 1980’s & gradually it died down.
Generally because the slips always slide & shows below the skirts without you knowing when you are walking up & down the office or stairs. A lots of eyes will turn their attention on the lady whose slip is showing below the hem of her skirt.
Most guys gets turn on even when if just a little glimpse of a slip showing underneath a ladies skirt. It simply makes man weak & submissive when the lady intends to have intimacy with her husband or boyfriend. You will be in control throughout.
