I really love roller coasters, but am terrified of heights.  When I was a kid, I assumed that I wouldn't like them because of this.  My mother was adamant that I would not decide that I was scared of roller coasters before I'd actually been on one so when I was about eight, we went to Busch Gardens in Florida and she frog marched me onto Kumba.  I was scared to death all the way around it (and we have a fantastic photograph to prove it), yet it was still the best ride ever!


Since then, I've always gone on ever roller coaster that I could.  My personal favourite is one at Alton Towers in the UK called Air.  Air is pretty unusual, as you ride with the rail across your back, so you're (kind of) face downwards and can't see the rails.  It feels as though you're flying.  It really is a wonderful experience.  Mind you, all of the Alton Towers roller coasters are pretty awesome...

the closest thing to a flying coaster i've ridden is soaring at disney world! i loved it and would love to ride ultimate flight, air, and all the others out there!
