It's Not Only A Life Saver...

Writing is my best way of expressing myself. I've called it my 'clay' since the end of primary school. When I'm writing down my memories of a road-trip of many years ago, it's takes a little time to get into it, but once I'm in it, I'm really in it. :) In other words ;) I can relive memories and write about it.

But the best writing trip there is for me, is writing fiction. Letting my imagination run (wild)...

Writing about writing isn't exactly my strongest point. :)

When I'm on a roll, writing feels like a connection with something inside and either you have it or you don't. I don't like to write when that connection isn't there, words come out almost forced and lack the usual 'passion'. I wish I knew the trick to turn it on and off at will, I'd make my living with writing.

Sometimes I read a sentence or remark somewhere and I feel a 'tickle' inside. Here comes inspiration around the corner. As soon as I open an editor the connection is there and words start to flow. It's like a puzzle slowly falling into place. A lot of times I have no clue where it's going to end or even where it's taking me. That's my magic. Or at least that's how it feels, something magical. I usually post these weird creations on my blog, along with the rest of the things I don't know where to dump them. ;)

Writing is my Life Saver! When I browse through the things I posted, it helps me see things better, understand why things are happening. Discover sides of me that I haven't seen before. Writing also helps me putting things in a different perspective and relativate them a little. Without it I would have been dead long ago. I wish I still had my older writings, but I lost nearly everything several years ago. Most of it was on treeware (gotcha, lol), but I lost all my digital creations too. That never stopped me from making new ones though.

Last but not least, it can be hot! (But for that I really need to be 'in the mood'.)
