i never disliked animals but over the course of the last few years i have been becoming much more attached to the pets we have in our house and animals generally. well actually, there are certain kinds of animals i do hate such as spider s and many arachnids, snakes (with the exception of small garden snakes that only eat bugs) large predatory reptiles such as crocodiles and alligators, any predatory and harmful insects (i only like insects that are either butterflies, and caterpillars in early stages are ok), lady bugs, dragonflies, moths (so long as they dont ruin clothes, ants, along those lines) The creatures that I do adore are the furry animals including dogs, cats, rodents (hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, ferrets, chinchillas) rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks. Birds are also lovely creatures. Small birds are beautiful creatures:canaries, parakeets, robins, bluejays, hummingbirds, etc. And i do admire wild cats like tigers and leopards. I feel an affinity to wolves and bears in some ways yet cringe in other ways. Basically that predators hunt their food makes me wince.Other creatures could be deer, gazelles, pandas and other creatures in the wild. some apes are so adorable s well. large birds scu a s eagles and hawks are breathtaking but i still wince that they are hunters. I generally like different birds and mammals. The incredible thing is seeing how each individual animal has their own personality and way of interacting with the world around them. These creatures are very human like but a different species. they all have feelings, thoughts, protective instincts, and bond with other animals and human beings to belong somewhere. they can distinguish between someone who has been compassionate towards them or cruel. I do believe they think but have another way of communicating and social behaviors. I love an animal especially if they are sweet affectionate personalities and more vulnerable. I mean the little runt or different one in a way. They are many times better than some humans to me because they dont judge you for ridiculous things such as the brands you wear, how much money one has, level of formal education, or just for being unique. Many of them love you if you treat them with respect and give time, love, and attention to them. feed them, give them water, clean their messes, play and holds them and allow them freedom to roam and stretch their legs and they love you unconditionally. From what i have seen many animals do not know excessive greed and avarice, they only act for their own and loved ones/group survival and well being. Yes there are some ferocious animals who are very predatory (male lions killing a lionesses cubs from a former mate comes to mind, horrible!) And i still despise that some animal herds would leave their sick, injured, and dying animals abandoned. Yet I have never seen it on a scale of the levels of human society.
