Thank You Beksinski

When I first looked at his artwork I admit I didn't like it. I thought I was very very good and he was clearly talented but I just didn't like the things he depicted.

And I went on my merry way.

But his art would keep popping into my head, again and again, until I just had to go back and look at it again. But again I thought I didn't like it. But I kept thinking about it. It was as if it had laid an egg inside my head and it was hatching and growing until it was all I could think of.

So I went and looked at it again and I liked what I saw this time.

I love drawing and painting but I don't normally look at other peoples artwork but I'm glad I looked at Beksinski's work. It inspires me every time I look at one of his drawings or paintings to work even harder and keep trying my best with my art.

I love beksinski as well. I find his work insanely beautiful and insanely hideous at the same time, and I love the juxtaposition. His work is mesmerizing.

I've never thought of it that way, but I totally agree. Thank you.

years ago I went to an art show, (I don't remember the artist, sorry), but I absolutely hated the subject matter. It was about the Holicost. Dark, red, scary but powerfull.
When we got back to school we had to give our impressions. Most people said it was ok or they didn't like it. Nothing really good was being said. I however stated that it was a beautifull show. Boy did I get staired at. Of coarse I had to explain.
My thoughts on art:" you may not like what you saw or heard or read, but, if it caused you to think, to feel to anything, then it is truely art. Then the artist did their job." "art is feeling. whether it's good or bad feelings, it's art". When you lookat art and feel nothing, then that piece wasn't art for you, but it may be for somebody else. Art is subjective, but it does need to make you feel in order to be art.
