    Bareback as in riding a horse without a saddle... The saddle protects (and cushions) the rider.

    Saddle = protection,
    Protection = condom.

      Close - bareback riding a horse is "natural" the way nature intended. This is they way native American's rode their horses - Saddles imply control - condoms birth control but you give up something to gain this control - intimacy in both cases.

      ???? Have you ever rode a horse before? You're looking too deep (no pun intended), which makes me think you haven't. A saddle protects the rider and the horse. Riding a horse bareback can make the rider very sore. What's another term for condom? Protection.

      I'm sure when the term was first beginning to be used for sex they were thinking of such a complicated reason. They were probably thinking they're is nothing between a rider and a horse when going bareback.

      Other nations rode horses bareback before saddles were used... Before the Americas were discovered.

    So is it anything to do with horseriding? Always amazed how many girls love horseriding. I'm sure it's not a physical thing too, but they like and respect powerful animals... anyone like to comment?
