Because There Are Everyday Superheroes.

Try as I might, I can't think of very many superheroes who truly don't have superpowers. We have gamma rays, alien lifeforms, iron suits and radioactive spiders. But there are next to none that I can think of who are heroes because they want to be. Batman is one of them. I think the reason Batman is my favourite is because he teaches lessons. He taught me to let my shady past better my future. He taught me that I fall down for a reason. He taught me to learn from those who hurt us. He taught me to not live in fear:but to become it.
The fact that Batman was ordinary Bruce Wayne, in and out of the leather suit makes me believe that there are superheroes out there. Life savers, crime fighters, hope bringers. Somewhere out there are people that alter lives, whether they wear a mask or a baseball cap.
It also sparks the hope that we can be superheroes. We can change lives, bring hope, and save souls. We can have that backup arsenal of reassuring words and warm smiles. We don't have to be bitten by a radioactive spider to be a superhero in someone's life. We don't have to wear a cape and utility belt to be someone's hero, not at all.
So cheers to the ordinary superheroes.
Because, as Alfred Pennyworth said in Batman Begins...

Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
