I Love Being Barefoot
I am a runner.
About 4 years ago my shins started playing up and would not get better no matter what i tried. So I eventually started looking at possible causes, rather than treating the symptoms.
I came to the realization that trainers are bad!
we have been led by the hand into believing lies about our feet. That we need padding, stability etc etc etc.
We dont!
we are designed perfectly well to run as we are. so i have been running and living barefoot ever since.
It is the best.
i wear flip flops when i have to wear something to be socially correct, and when the road is a bit rough on a run i wear vibrams. but all in all i am always barefoot.
My tendons and muscles are stronger than ever and my feet are different, better, stronger, alive.
It is liberating, exciting, even sensual sometimes, and now i never suffer from cold feet.
I will never go back to shackling my feet up with desensitizing footwear.
