Because, That's What I Am

I think the standards for women's behavior have lowered significantly over the years. What once was considered something a woman should never do is now commonplace. It's all the feminist movements fault. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that men and women are equal citizens and one should not be favored over the other simply on the aspect of gender, but it's the whole "women are just like men" attitude that I disagree with. I mean really, who wants to be?

I LOVE this! I was just having this conversation with my mom the other day, telling her that the feminist movement really screwed us up.

You've hit the nail on the head, OGND, once upon a time women had manners and class even if the men didn't, now? pfft...women are just as bad as men and sometimes far worse.

I agree. I think that, too often, women end up emulating the worst behaviour of men (not the best). It now seems perfectly acceptable to drink yourself into a stupor, abuse people, pick fights, and treat men like sex toys. If we didn't like that sort of thing when it came from them, then why are we trying to follow suit?

Yes, I would never want to be a man, I LOVE men, but I don't want to be one. :)

i agree i know i dont want to be a man or would never try!

Thanks dear, I think being a woman is special, I think being a man is special too, but "it's a man's world" so women have it different. I agree that women should be treated with equal respect as men but I don't think that means we have to act like men.
You are a special lady, and I have no doubts that as you find yourself and your true, full woman comes out you will do us all proud.

i concur. i think being a woman is, for me, a precious gift. i want not to exploit but live it. Hopefully being appreciated and bringing respect to myself and other women in the process.
