I would love for you to add me to your circle. I'm sure they are some of your best and I'd love to see them!

I once read a comment from a photojournalist that was active during the Viet-Nam war. He refused to make the switch from B&W to color. When asked why, he replied Kodachrome (color) shows the blood, but tri-x (B&W) shows the BLEEDING. After seeing a number of his photos I know exactly what he was talking about, the emotion was unmistakable.

Michelle~ this is why I can stare at a b/w photo again and again, and find myself seeing/feeling several emotions.

B&W photos are beautiful and powerful. Yours are GREAT! But than the subject is GREAT too!

    My twin,

They are indeed seductive and sensual, much like the owner of said album ;)

Black and white phography really brings out the nature of the subject I feel, it confronts you with reality, with the emotion. Lovely.

subtle differences in shading and lighting can create a "mood" for a black and white photo, much more so than traditional color photos.

Am listening to John Coltrane's 'Blue Train' album as I'm reading this.

You're in my circle but I guess I'll have to wait to see your photography. Try some sepia toning when you use B&W - it adds a whole new dimension and can make very contemporary shots look vintage.

    Regards, EM

(sorry - nothing 'sensual' in my albums - I'd be too embarrased ;) )

I have to get to know someone before I add them to my circle. I love jazz, especially smooth/contemporary. Lovely title and song choice, btw.

I'm sorry to miss out. What must one do to be considered for the circle? I noticed you like jazz. How about a smooth version of "Don't Go To Strangers"?
