My Favorite Bonfire Ever:

I've been to lots of bonfires, both back home and out here in Cali. But there's one that easily stands out above the rest. My favorite bonfire ever was the one we had after my senior prom. It was held out in an unused field. The guys went out and set up the bonfire (without lighting it yet...lol) and a few tents around it while us girls did our hair and makeup and everything. Then, after the banquet hall closed, we all hopped in our limos and cars and trucks and headed out to the field. A few people changed clothes on the way, but most of us stayed in our prom clothes. It's tradition at my school. I don't know why, but who am I to argue with tradition. So most of us girls were wearing our gowns and our date's jacket, and were were all sitting out on the logs around the bonfire, basking in the warmth and companionship. And, of course, alcohol magically appeared. Then, as the sun started to come up, most of us crawled into our tents to sleep while some of the others went home. I think that was one of the best times of my life.
