The Hunger Games Series

I really did not plan on reading the series of books that started with "The Hunger Games", because I thought they were just another fad for young Amerians. One day when I was bored and looking for something to read, I found my daughter's "The Hunger Games" and started reading it. I read it in a single day, and over the next few days read the other two books in the series.
The books appeared to me to have many hidden messages related to dangers of absolute government control by a select few and the desire of the controlled  for liberty.
It is going to be interesting to see how English professors slice and dice the meanings in this book.
Oh, by the way I would recommend this book to adults.
