I Can't Do Without It

I never understand how people can start their day and not have breakfast. To me, it's like trying to start a car without putting any fuel in...

I love having 2 nice slices of brown or granary bread with some kind of cheese; a big glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice, and a cup of tea - or sometimes a hot chocolate or a mocha. In the winter I also love porridge - with honey, or raisins, or bits of apple... mmmm...

I can't have cereal - if I only eat cereal, my tummy feels empty 2 hours later and I'm starving again. I think it's because most breakfast cereals are high in sugar, so they send blood sugar levels sky high for a short time... Better to go with slow-released carbs to fill me up till lunchtime.
