It was Halloween 2012 and my adopted son who was 18 shipped off into the army and my husband and I were empty nesters for the first time in out lives. Well, that Halloween morning I woke up with a soaked t shirt which I wore to bed the previous night and I noticed I was lactating after 18 years and I am 37. In 1994 when I adopted my son and I took hormones for a short amount of time to induce lactation. Well, my regular bras no longer fit and so I had to go to the store and buy nursing bras and pads not to mention a bottle of prenatal vitamins. I decided after going to my doctor for a check up that I can be a wet nurse again so the doctors office gave me a manual breast pump to pump milk into bags to be sent to the milk bank and I would get paid to do so. I would feed my husband 2 times a day once in the morning and in the evenings in our bedroom and we both lay on our sides and he would put a 40D cup breast in his mouth and get his milk since he is allergic to cow milk. So, I have made over $5000.00 in the past few months and bills are getting paid off and my husband and I are much closer in our marriage. He loves those days where he can nurse and if I run out of bags he can have the excessive breast milk. I dropped a lot of weight and my husband who is 43 is much healthier from it. I still see my doctor on a regular basis and one time I did have mastitis and had to take an antibiotic for a week but it cleared up over time.
