First Timer

I am canning today for the first time. I was at Costco getting Strawberries, Blueberries, and Rasberries and thought to myself, I should make some of my own jelly. I tried using a Christmas gift for the first time about a month ago. It is a bread maker that makes homemade bread. You can set the timer at night so the bread is freshly baked in the AM. I was reading the instruction book for the bread and noticed it also made homemade jams. What is better than fresh, homemade jam on fresh homemade bread in the AM?

After a few successful runs of both jam and bread, I decided to Berry-up at Costco and can this goodness. It reminds me of spending time with my grandma and how much she used to can things. We waste so much in society and the thought of re-using these jars and making my own jam instead of tossing or recycling glass jars from store bought jams is exciting to me. So off I go... into the jamming world!
