Nina Is Missing!

It's been 5 days since Nina, my 4 year old black cat, disappeared. I AM GOING CRAZY!!!

She's never been that long away from home, and I think it is all my fault. I brought a puppy on monday who I rescued from the street. He was lying under the rain so I decided to let him in. I fed him and he stayed the night. The next day my husband agreed we had to take him to the vet, he was in really bad shape. After all we went through with the little puppy that day, we decided to keep him and welcomed him to the family. My other two cats were fine with him, except for Nina, who deliberately tried to make his life unbearable. Until friday, the day she left.

Could she be jealous? Is a dog too much for her? Is the puppy just a coincidence and she's just wondering around? (She's operated, by the way). What should I do? I can't stop thinking all these possible scenarios... what if she's injured? hungry? lost?

I've looked everywhere, I even went to the house we last moved from, but nothing. I cannot live without her, she's my life. I cannot eat, I cannot sleep, I cannot breathe!!!

Nina, where are you? I miss you terribly... come home!

Whew...so glad to hear that she is home again! These wonderful creatures sure do keep us worried sometimes trying to find them, don't they?

Rosie... so sorry for Nemo... and thanx for the great advice, thanks to you she's home again!

I know it's very scary but keep positive. After my sweet Nemo died recently, I adopted two kitties. My German shepherd is playing with them but my other cat Cookie is angry and refuses to come in the house. I think your kitty is close by and maybe get some sardines or salmon and the scent of the food might attract her. Bang on the tin can and call out her name. Do it at various times especially very late at night. Three years ago Nemo was missing for about four days and I stayed within two blocks of my house. On the fourth night, he came running to me from under a car. It was on the same block where we live. It hasn't been very long. I think she will be home soon. My good thoughts are with you and your kitty for a happy reunion.

Thank you guys! I'm still looking all over... nothing yet. My husband tells me not to worry, she must be partying someplace close, nevertheless, I can't sleep at night... keep hearing her meow in my head!

Daisy, cats can be eminently jealous creatures and it seems Nina had as strong a bond with you as you had with her... I would have gone back to the previous house too but I'm sure she's still around.<br />
If she was an outdoor cat, she must still roam her favorite spots. Don't despair, she misses you and the other cats too. When you find her though, I hope you'll find a solution for all your pets to get along together.
