The Beach Boys And The Beatles

The Beach Boys and then the Beatles were the big things when I was growing up.  I was around for the British rock invasion led by the Who and Led Zeplin.  I prefered the San Francisco sound led by one of my favorites, Jefferson Airplane.  I remember going to the Shrine Auditorium in LA with a bill of Fleetwood Mac (before Stevie Nicks), Deep Purple, and the headliner was Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.  I remember being 15 and my 34 yr old mother listening to "KPPC" a real underground radio station.  The studio was supposedly in a church basement somewhere in Pasadena.
