It's a Journey...

You know that moment when you realize that you were never meant to be anything but a musician?  I feel like I am in that moment every day and am reliving the epiphany over and over again.  You see, I graduated with a degree in Music.  I had never done anything but sing so I thought I would venture out into the "real" world and do something different for awhile when I graduated.  I have never felt so cold and alone as I feel when I'm not enveloped in the warm fuzzy blanket of musicians.  What a wonderful, quirky/crazy and talented group of often overlooked or misunderstood people.  I haven't sung in a year and I used to sing at least four hours a day.  Now I have bills to pay and my voice is something of the past.  Listening to classical music is my refuge away from the real world.  Puccini, take me away!

Nice story.

Oh, if you have the talent, why be -anything- else! I wish I had the skills and ear to be more than a listener
