I Need Coffee

I would have put this in the coffee addiction forum, but I'm not sure I'm too addicted. :)

I actually hated coffee until I got to college. This is because I tried black coffee at age 14 and thought it was godawful, but then I got to college and decided to try...well, it wasn't exactly coffee...that French vanilla cappuccino stuff almost every gas station and convenience store has. I'd get a cup of that for my morning classes, and I eventually began trying more kinds, including Starbucks. While in grad school, there was complementary coffee available to whoever wanted it, and I'd have two or three cups of that a day just to keep me awake. Going to bed at 3 am and waking up at 8am will make you tired.

Now, I have found my favorite coffee is exactly how I make it, which is with instant coffee called Mountain Blend from Nestle. I find it to be not quite as bitter as other coffees. A cup of this with two spoonfuls of sugar, slightly-frozen whipped cream and drizzled with caramel. Something about whipped cream in hot coffee is just amazing. I don't even drink it as much for caffeine as I do for the taste; I'm tired every single moment of every single day, so I gave up trying to energize myself since I believe I have become immune to caffeine.

The highlight of my day, unless I have other plans, is often my two or three cups of coffee each day. I may even replace meals with coffee. What can I say? I enjoy my coffee.

Coffee is my morning beverage of choice - don't function too well socially before my cup is filled and in hand. :-)
