Crapachino

I love coffee. A lot. I am addicted, really.

I have several friends who are caffeine-istas and we constantly explore the world of coffee. Mmmmm coffee.

So I will blog as every aficionado or maven does about the things they love, I will blog about the best cup of coffee I ever had.

It was made out of cat poop.

(sigh)

It is Kopi Luwak and it is made from cat poop. Well not really a cat, it is a civet, which is more like a weasel… but poop just the same. Apparently (and I have no idea how) somewhere along the line a native picked up what fell out of this animals *** and brewed it and he is now a multimillionaire because this is some expensive…****.

My friend and her husband read about it and asked if I would like to split a bag. So we did. We ordered it from www.animalcoffee.com and waited. In short order we received a beautiful (litter) box full of our coffee. We brewed and it was quite literally the best coffee I have ever had, it was smooth, had a rich full body (do you know how hard this is to write about poop?) it was amazing. We had a “brewing party” where we offered it to friends.

They stared at us mouths agape, “You’re drinking cat ****?”

We replied “no, no it is a CIVET it is a…”

The reaction on their faces was pure horror.

“sigh…Yes, we are drinking cat ****”

It was delicious, I kid you not.

So if you ever want to truly know the joys of an amazing cup of coffee order a bag. I highly recommend it, and tell them I sent you; maybe they will take pity on me and send me a few turds.

Now if I can only get my cat to start eating coffee beans…

Here… Kitty, Kitty, Kitty
