The Quirky The Odd And The Down Right Fascinating

I'm a night Owl.

Years ago in university I was an RA (Residential Assistant) for 3 years and then a Community Manager for 3 years...My duties consisted of regular night time community care and assistance from 8pm to at least 5am in the mornings...

Many nights were spent conversing with students of all nationalities, backgrounds, philosophical perspectives and world views - it was an amazing time in my life and I continue to love tripping the light fandango all night long solving the universes mysteries or plunbing the depths of the quirky, the odd and the down right fascinating...

in fact last weekend we spent the night round the fire with guitars talking bout the most amazing topics from guitar chords to tsunami's and everything in between...

two weeks ago we spent the night round a record player playing vinyl records all night long and spinning **** til the birds started chirping...great session.

Ahh ennuye - sleep deprivation...love it, live it, and then book yourself a holiday and go sleep for a week regularly...oh by tthe way - all of my RA's I managed as a Student COmmunity MANAGER and all of my RA bro's and sisters when I was an RA are still part of my family TO THIS DAY - generations of them came to my wedding back in 2006 and to this day WE ALL keep wanting to (much to me wifes chagrin) trip the light fandango all night long...

bless you all you FUN seekers, talk fest appreciators and general universe saving dreamers...
wEDNESDAY NIGHTS on campus I use to invite everyone over to my house during the winter months and have international food nights round the fire and we'd do poetry readings, feet massage circles, singing and general story telling nights on the mattresses in my lounge - then I'd wake up and cook everyone pancakes for brekky...guess I'm to blame for creating this culture of the night Owls

Why thank you 8FOOTDREAD, not very often people realise it. Now what is 'fun' again?? *searches round aimlessly, calling "fun where are you??* oh that's right, that's my job - acting like a big kid (I'm a kindergarten teacher..what can I say?)

good lord no "theonlyconstantischange" I would never wish that torture on any soul of bEing an RA...
However - I do get inspired by your avatar name and urge you to do exactly that - change your life to allow for that groove to blossom...

Let me know if you have yourself an all night long talk fest with this stuff and some closef riends or better still complete strangers...

Littlemissnobody you are the stuff that allows magnificent achievement to be realised...if there were an olympic event for hard yards run in life you'd be a track star and gold medalist...keep up the good work but make sure you're having your deserved share of fun too.

I bow to your fortitude and strength of commitment

*bowing*

Yeah I suppose that does come into it..Btw: I am a student - except I have no time to sit on my arse, I have to study and work at the same time...ah crap I have to go to work now. :)

Sometimes littlemissnobody it helps that the people you have to work with tomorrow are the same ones talking all night long...ha ha ha - the luxury of student life is that you never had to take tomorrow seriously...
