Awaiting the Day...

It's a rare occasion that I eat a homemade cookie, since I can't cook very well at all. All the recipes I've tried from books & the 'net have always turned out dry and un-golden. I will live with a cookie baker one day, be it[they?them?] friend or lover.... ;>

So, I make do with supermarket ones, which aren't actually that bad! I could eat choc-chip cookies all day! I don't like the ones with tiny choc chips though - the bigger the better I say! I don't dip with milk either - can't stand wasted cookie chunks falling into the cup!

Ahh.....those people from sesame street knew a thing or two when they created the cookie monster!

thanks everyone! i'm definitely going to have another go at baking cookies now! =>

The chocolate chip cookie recipe on the back of the Nestle Chocolate Chips is commonly regarded as the best chocolate chip cookie recipe ever. If your cookies turn out dry, that means that you are most likely using too much flour, which is very easy to do. Flour gets compacted down when in its bag, and the recipe measurement is the volume of sifted flour. To combat this, use a tablespoon to scoop the flour into the measuring cup, then level off, rather than scooping straight from the bag with the measuring cup. This fluffs up the flour, so there isn't as much flour in each cup.
