Goals Goals, What Should It Be?

Ever year I set some kind of cycling goal. Why?  Because without a goal it's to easy to say it's to cold, hot, wet, windy, or something.  I have a standard 5000 mile goal each year.  One year it was a 200 mile day, another was RAGBRAI, another was RAIN.  I have a few still unchecked.  A century a month for a full year.  Another is to ride across the USA.  Another is 7 centuries in 7 days. The last is a sub 5 hour century.     What to do this year.  I will have to get back to you.

I think its good you set goals. As long as you enjoy it do it!

I agree with your thoughts on goal setting. I always set a cycling goal each year, and it's always one that's just out of reach. For me, that's the whole point. It helps me strive harder for that thing that's just outside my grasp.
