Warm Summer Rain

I do enjoy the rain...

In the summer when the air is warm and humid, and the rain is like warm bath water... Just dancing in the rain, having the warm rain cool your skin... Growing up we lived in an area with wide open space, and fields of wild flowers and dandelions.... Fields which were sheets of yellow dandelions... I used to love walking threw them with my barefeet.... and if it rained... you just enjoyed the rain, dancing in fields of gold....

And the storms... breath takingly beautiful with great bolts of lightening.... they never lasted very long, but we would sit on the covered porch and watch the storms as the rolled by.... and then after the son would come back with the most amazing colours.... depending on the time of the day they would range from greens, to yellows, to beautiful reds and blues....

I miss summers back home....

    That was a beautiful story. At my old home it only rained 2-3 times a year. However in my new home it rains like 12-14 times a year. I love the rain, but it is nothing like you described. I enjoyed reading your story.

    It sounds very beautiful! We do not have rain in the summer here - except every now and then - but, when it does come, I love the smell of the rain as it first hits the hot pavement - it is a smell like no other - one I associate with my childhood.
