Dexter: The Guy You Hate To Love...

I love Dexter, I am so excited about the next season, I am sure many agree, but what is it about the show that is so appealing to everyone? We are all cheering on the bad guy, even if we try to make it better that he is killing other bad people, we find ourselves wanting him to kill anyone that just stands in his way. The show is amazing, and one example where the show is, what I feel, better than the books themselves.

    I actually don't think he is bad at all, he went through a traumatic experience as a young child is all (but that brother of is, well he is just one bad egg). I think dexter tries to convince himself he is some psychopath with no human emotions, but he has proved many times that that's just not the case. He's a serial killer of serial killers, the best kind lol. That's why we love him!

      I know! Oh god, he's my idol. So in love. Same with Walter White from Breaking Bad. Serial killers and drug dealers just do it for me x)

    I think the lyrics to the song "behind blue eyes" explain it. At least they do for me. The guy has an urge to kill and it seems like he was just born bad. Wouldn't that be terrible? To be hated just for being who you are naturally? How can you not sympathize with him?
