ried cranberries and peanuts. The first time I ate them this way, I was subconsciously struck by the familiar taste long before I figured out that it was the taste of peanut butter and jelly (not grape jelly; I prefer my peanut butter with some kind of red jelly--Mom's plum when I could get it, and strawberry or raspberry since Mom and Dad moved away from the house with the plum trees).
Here's a question: Why haven't any of the cereal companies ever made a simple cranberry bran cereal? Like raisin bran? You see cranberry-macadamia (not my favorite combination) and cranberry-oat-cinnamon and even cranberry-white-chocolate (nice combo, but not in a CEREAL!) but no simple cranberry bran. It even comes ready-supplied with a catchy name (Cran Bran). I toss cranberries into my raisin bran and eat it with sliced banana.
Of course, I can eat them straight from the bag...or stirrred into almond bark...or with cashews...
