Beginning Again

Early morning dawn was always a favorite time for me. I grew up in a large family and was the eldest child. If I wanted any free time or time in my own space, it had to be early morning while everyone else slept. I still feel that way. It is early morning solitude that helps me get through all the tugs and pull on me throughout the day. I sit on the porch and watch the darkness giveway to the morning light and feel rejuventate in the beauty of the awakening earth and freshness of a new day.

I do the same thing but only at night is when I can settle in and get my thougts together, perfect solitude.

I have been a morning person for a very long time. I wake up without an alarm every day, early enough to see the morning light begin to fill the sky. I love the colors, the sounds, the smell of the air. It is so quiet at dawn.

I love driving to work in the early morning when the mountains are shilhouetted against the first pale light before the sunrise!

Nights are a good time for reflection of what transpired throughout the day and how things can be better with a new start. I love nights as well, but mornings wrapped up in a blanket on my porch with a cup of coffee is still my time of day!

I like to stay up late at night when everything is quiet, that is when I get my peace. I have seen enough dawns from the other side to appreciate that time of day.
