I wonder if what put me off partly for so-many years was that quote from it that everyone seems to want to say, about the box of chocolates, which never made any sense to me, because I don't choose chocolates randomly, but rather after reading that little slip with their desc
Anyway, the film had a lot to say about life, and a lot of things in life; about intelligence and education; history and politics; love and commitment; race and prejudice; God and religion; fate and destiny; family and parenthood.
And friendship, of course, and the ambiguity this can create on the boundaries of love, and being in love.
I can see myself watching it a lot of times and laughing. And thinking.
