I Went Fishing All Day Yesterday!

It was one of my favorite days ever.  The weather was perfect.  The water was smooth.  My husband and I had all the gear we needed and he threw a net to catch our bait and we had plenty, plus the fish were biting! When the fish weren't biting, I took photographs of pelicans flying around and diving into the water.  I also had the opportunity to photograph an Osprey up close on its nest.  It was very exciting.  An Osprey is similar to an Eagle but not quite as big.  It was great, because I didn't scare it or make it nervous.  We caught three flounder, one big speckle trout, and two very big red fish.  We saw all kinds of wildlife, a lovely blue sky, and we didn't fuss once.  I only wish it could have lasted longer. When we were done fishing, we came home and cooked what we caught.  I made stuffed flounder and he fried the rest of our catch with french fries, fresh corn and cooked mushrooms.  Yum!  A day to remember, I'll tell ya.  The only thing that could have made it better was maybe if we brought a big kite to fly over the river.  I wish everyone had the chance to have a day like I had yesterday.  I really do.
