Color of the Pomegranates

 I'm searching for an opportunity to watch Armenian classic; "Color of the Pomegranates." From what I read about it, it is a difficult film to watch since it lacks dialog to navigate the storyline, but rather uses visual symbolism to tell the story of Sayat Nova's life.

Does anyone here know where I can obtain a copy of this unique film?

    "Shadows" is usually considered to be his masterpiece.

    You might also check out "Ashik Kerib" and "Legend of the Suram Fortress" ( a medieval story with oil tankers on the horizon in one shot - I blame his editor!)

    If you like his style,next stop should probably be Tarkovsky,if you haven't already been there.

    I've got it on VHS...which must really date me .

    If you like Paradzhanov,be sure to check out "Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors".

    I downloaded it (a little too broke to buy it at the moment).. I'll probably watch it later tonight. Let me know if you had any luck and I'll tell you what I thought about it :)
