Freedom Is Not Really Free

I believe today we take our freedom for granted and don't always follow the rules ourselves. So many terrible things happening in America right now but people still seem more concerned with their iPhone or iPad or what someone else is doing. We have that "it won't happen to me" attitude and that is dangerous. Also I believe we really are not that concerned with each other unless it is convenient for us. I've been around for 62 years and I must say when I was younger things were a lot better. People are taking that freedom to a way different levels and using is just for personal gratification- excuses to do obscene and immoral things that we would have never ever done years ago, not out of stupidity but out of decency and respect for ourselves and others. Some examples are government entitlements, homosexuality, stupid lawsuits - everyone is out for anything they can get from someone else without regard as to how it may affect others. We have lost our way and our ambitions to do better - there is always a limit to everything whether we like it or not. Why can't we just maintain and replace when necessary??? No we want what we want when we want it - greed has taken over the entire world and it will bring us all down and sooner than you may expect. This is not doomsday talk - this is reality.
