Labor and Delivery on the Full Moon

I spent a few months in labor and delivery, pregnant, in Houston.  Every single time that there was a full moon, we would all start contracting like crazy.  It was the strangest thing.  All of the nurses would always say that more babies are delivered during full moons than any other time.  They would start giving us preventative meds. the day before, because the KNEW that the contractions were iminent.  interesting, don't ya think?

    Isn't it just that we are aware of the difference in gravitational pull...the tides are higher when the moon is nearer too....and my cat gets all tense and nervous on a clear full moon night!

    also, e.r.s are unusually busy on full moons, crimes are higher, wolves howl louder, i usually have restless sleep... what does it mean mike??

    It must have some effect...that's where the term lunacy comes from you know, back in the bad old days riots would break out in sanitoriums on the full moon nights!
