Dirt Diva

I have been gardening for over 20 years, for both a profession and for my sanity. There is nothing other than my children that I am more passionate about. I am not bothered sweating and getting dirty. I like to wear steal toed boots or be barefoot. I will dig a hole that could accommodate my whole family, if I wanted to. I can prune shrubs like a machine and clean up behind me super fast. I'm known for losing tools in my debris piles but I don't care, I just get new ones. I used to help my grandmothers in their gardens and my single mom used me as her personal gardener, for no pay.
But there is something about making plants grow, dividing plants to create new ones, pruning plants to either encourage growth or work within the landscape, whatever the task is, as long as I'm outside working in a garden, I am truly happy.
I can do it for hours, alone or with help, gardening is my passion. I am a dirt diva.

I took a college course called: Horticultural Therapy. It's a real phenomenon that occurs between people and watching their plants grow. I simply don't know what my state of mind would be without gardening. My neighbors know me well, and don't get alarmed if I'm out there gardening by our street light at midnight. They know I'm working something out! :)

I love digging in the dirt too.... planting things, tending to them, and watching them grow. I love my houseplants too!
