God Bless the Geek Girls

The Geek Girl.

She watches Star Trek, attends Comic Con dressed as Harley Quinn and divides her time evenly between UNIX and Xbox.

Behold the finest creation in all the multi-verse: The Geek Girl.

She is the reason that America is the greatest country on earth.

Just as no two snowflakes are alike, there are an infinite number of combinations and manifestations of the Geek Girl. We may see her dressed as a fairy at the local Renaissance Fair or spending hours leveling up in World of Warcraft. We may see her writing X-files fan fiction or we may see her writing the hottest new app for the Apple Store. She may be overly excited because it's "New Comic book Day" or she may be the deadliest HALO player on earth. She may be an executive by day, but a screaming WWE fan at night.

Powerful. Magnificent. Glorious in their Geekiness.

If there was just one word that described the Geek Girl it would be this: fearless.

Whereas some girls try to project confidence, the truth is they live in constant fear of looking foolish or (gasp!) seeming uncool. They may want to do things that seem fun, but forbid themselves from even entertaining the idea for fear that someone might laugh at them.

Not the Geek Girl.

They boldly go where no (wo)man has (traditionally, at any rate) gone before.

Mr. Scott, beam me to wherever there is a Geek Girl.

You hit the nail on the head.

There is a line from Holes, where a man says a girl is pretty, and the wise old woman says "her head is empty like a flowerpot. but the man insists that she is pretty and the woman replys "so is a flowerpot."

Well said niceguy, well said.

Bravo! Geek girls are hot!!!
