The Thing I Love The Most

I haven't read a lot of books before Harry Potter, but it was because of Harry Potter that I began to love reading. B fore Harry Potter I hated reading, but now I can't wait to pop open a book to read.

I came into Harry Potter very late in the series in the year 2007 a few months before the last book and we read on article about J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter. When we began reading I didn't care what it said, but by the end of the article I was already persuaded to read it (even though it wasn't a persuasion article) and in the next week I got my first Harry Potter book. It wasn't the Sorcerer's Stone, but the Goblet of Fire (The store didn't have the first 3) and when I began reading I was completely confused about what was the Riddle House and who Wormtail was, but I still read it nonetheless.

I soon began slowly becoming a fan as I would read the books first thing before I went to bed and would watch Harry Potter videos on YouTube. After awhile, I became so huge that I annoyed everyone around me whether it was at school or at home. I loved it so much that I would always talk about it and would want any Harry Potter merchanse I can find.

And here I am 3 years later. I'm not as huge of a fan as I was when I first began reading it, but I know that my love for Harry hasn't wavered yet. To me Harry Potter is more than a book and I cherish it more than anything in the world. I have had experience where people have judged me without getting to me because I was a Harry Potter and experiences where I've been made fun of for being a Harry Potter fan, but you know what I say to that? I say, "Harry Potter fan and proud of it!". I'm not planning on giving up Harry Potter just yet, but if I do it will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart; even  when I'm an adult and I don't like it anymore. This will never change.
