HAVE To!

I have to sleep with my fan on when I sleep because of the noise more so than the coolness (although I prefer to sleep in the cold).  I have been this way for about eight years, I believe I inherited it from my mom, as she has always been the same way.  One day I told her I couldn't sleep and she suggested I use a fan.  So I decided to start using an old one she had.  Ever since then I've been hooked.  When I go someplace and I don't have my fan it takes me forever to sleep.

That sucks so bad! One time I went somewhere, and stayed in the city's historical district, a very small area, for a marathon race. Well there were about 10,000 people there to run that marathon, and even though they had to be up at 5AM, that didn't stop them from partying. I heard cars speeding by all night, horns blowing, and people yelling and screaming, it sounded more like New York City.

maybe white noise machines should be standard equipment in hotel rooms....heck, i would pay extra to pick one up at the desk we were at a hotel once where there was drag racing all night i kept wondering where the police could be since it's a very loud way to break the law not very comforting that apparently there were no cops around ...

I especially have a hard time at hotels without the white noise because people are so rude and inconsiderate at hotels. Those doors are so heavy and sometimes people, God forbid they have children, just let them slam. <br />

I stayed at one hotel for my brother's football playoffs and alot of the parents decided to stay up late and party. It was horrible, all I heard all night was the doors slamming and people laughing and screaming in the hallway.

everyone in my family is the same way we need the "white noise" at hotels sometimes you can turn on the bathroom fan....
