There's Still People In Need...

It's been over a month since hurricane Sandy ripped through parts of new Jersey, New York, and the northeast. And there are still a ton of people trying to put back together their lives in the wake of all the destruction. Work for me has been pretty lean the past couple of weeks in particular. I have a lot of things I'd like to be doing with my time to develop some new lines of income, but ironically, they all take money to get started, so I'm in a real catch 22.
This morning I got an email about a volunteer group going to Staten Island to help with the clean-up, and I'm thinking I'll go down and chip in. I have a house sitter lined up to take care of my cats for this first volunteer weekend weekend after next.
My life's in need of making some changes to get back on my feet, but my heart has never left the place within me that understands that there's folks a lot worse off than me who could use a hand. It would do my morale a world of good to help out someone who's in more of a bind than me. I look forward to doing what I can-
