Music And Light

Specifically I like atmospheric horror (I have heard it called). I don't care much for gratuitous violence and gore... I much prefer "scary" movies, the fear coming from music, lighting, or character mannerisms (the way they talk, the timing of statements or movements, etc.). (I think there actually is no such thing as a SCARY movie, just movies that allow me to escape reality for a while and feel like there REALLY is something worth being scared of... I wish I could really be scared, if anyone can recommend a movie that is actually frightening, please let me know). The legend of Hell House, The Shining, The Exorcist, (more recently) Trick r Treat, etc. all have a great feel and work more on the emotions through visceral music, lighting, and suspense, than gore or violence (I HATE the saw movies... talk about boring!).
Anyone else?
