I Love Horror Movies
I grew up watching horror flicks with my parents. I can remember watching The Shining at the drive-in when I was 8. I'd be watching it from the backseat and duck down during the scary parts which was most of the movie...lol. When VCR players were invented we used to rent movies on the weekends and the majority of them were horror flicks. Some that stick out in my mind are Mausoleum, Phantasm, Christine, Carrie, Halloween (one of my favorites), The Evil Dead. I remember walking out of the room while watching The Evil Dead as a kid. Poltergeist was another favorite of mine. I remember seeing that as a kid and my mom asking me at bed time if I wanted her to put my clown doll in the closet. I bravely said, "no I want to sleep with him." I've always been a bit of a little rebel...lol. My parents meant no harm in allowing me to watch these. We were just doing a family activity. I still love horror flicks and they are always my first choice when picking out a film to see. I especially love watching them alone in the dark.
