I Love "How To Train Your Dragon"
So I saw the preview for this movie and, I have no shame in admitting, I actually like cartoons / animated stuff. I watch cartoons still to this day. I watch anime, animated movies... well you get the point.
I was pretty excited to see this and was lucky enough to catch a preview night with some friends who are "in with the in crowd," but that is really an aside here.
So I have a dog. His name is Chance. He is a rescue greyhound from the tracks. I am kind of ridiculous when it comes to my dog. He just makes me laugh... particulary when his tongue falls asleep and just drops out the side of his mouth and he has no idea. He looks a bit like a drunk cartoon character in these moments... but more so, I really think the dragon in this movie is modeled after my dog. It probably helps that my dog is a bit "big" in comparison and intimidates many people... but really is the sweetest thing in the world. I believe that Chance and this dragon are really one in the same... and if Chance could talk, he would sound just like this character.
So, I guess I would train my dragon using dried duck breast, peanut butter, yogurt and white cheese... because let me tell you I can make Chance do anything for these things... including my favorite game where I hold out a small piece of cheese and he goes over to the dryer, pulls out a single piece of laundry and brings it over to me to reap his reward. Awesome!
