Sudarshan Faakir (1934 - 2008) is the writer of National Cadet Corps (NCC) song of India. Faakir Saahib was an Indian Poet and lyricist who belonged to the small and diminishing tribe of non Muslim Urdu Poets from Eastern Punjab.

Being a proud UO - NCC, two decades ago, I always remember the song that kindled an endless fervour among all Indian Cadets, not to forget the patriotic Spirits behind of that of the Lyricist ~ Faakir Saahib.
Here goes the Lyrics.

Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain , Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain
Apni Manzil Ek Hai , Ha Ha Ha Ek Hai , Ho Ho Ho Ek Hai,
Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain,

Kashmir Ki Dharti Rani Hai , Sartaaj Himalaya Hai,
Sadiyon Se Hamne Isko Apne Khuun Se Paala Hai,
Desh Ki Raksha Kee Khatir Hum Shamsheer Uthaa Leingey,
Hum Shamsheer Utha Leingey,
Bikhre Bikhre Taarey Hain Hum Lekin Jhilmil Ek Hai
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ek Hai, Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain
Mandir Gurudwaare Bhee Hain Yahaan ,
Aur Masjid Bhee Hai Yahaan,
Girjaa Kaa Ghadiyaal Kaheen , Mulla Kee Kaheen Hai Azaan,
Ek Hee Apnaa Ram Hai , Ek Hee Allah-Taala Hai,
Ek Hee Allah-Taala Hai
Rang Birange Deepak Hain , Lekin Mehfil Ek Hai
Ha Ha Ha Ek Hai , Ho Ho Ho Ek Hai
Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain , Hum Sab Bharatiya Hain !

The National Cadet Corps has played a vital role in promoting qualities of character, discipline, leadership and good value system amongst our Cadets and students.
