It Can Make Or Break It

I once had a boyfriend who was kind, funny, attractive, and, let's just say it......dumb. He was such a gentlemen, but he was incredibly annoying. Every other second he either said "What?" or just gave me a confused stare. My friends loved him, but I wasn't entirely convinced. I mean really, is it that terrible to want a guy who understands what you're saying? Everyone told me I was being terrible and judging but they didn't have to sit with him, alone across a table with him pretending to understand seven out of ten things I was saying. I know I'm a very smart person, and I'm usually very nice, but we were incompatible in every way. I typically just have conversations with older people. They're more reasonable, rational, and, once more, intelligent.
