Scent is the strongest thing tied to memory and as new memories come to me, I'll add them onto here. Even not so pleasant smells have triggered a semi-positive memory for me. For example, when I worked at a daycare, the smell of the 3 and 4-year-old's bathroom totally took me back to a first grade class I was in where the bathroom stall smelled the same way. Gross, I know, but it still reminded me of a time when life was simple and carefree.
I also love the smell of sunblock. Its reminiscent of days spent by the pool we had in the backyard of a house we lived in, or days on the beach.
The smell of the air early in the morning reminded me of mornings before school started, when everything smelled fresh and crisp and the grass might have been covered with dew.
