My All Time Favorite

If I had a dollar for every time I've seen this movie, I'll be wealthy indeed. In fact, all of my friends and family know this is my all time favorite. There are a lot of wannabe Jaws movies, but none can ever touch the original. There are so many classic lines like, Brody: "You're gonna need a bigger boat" and Quint: "Y'all know me. Know how I earn a living..." Hooper: "This was no boat accident!" I still find it quite entertaining to watch Jaws and recite lines in advance of the actors. I still crack up when Quint sees Hooper on deck playing Solitaire and quips, "Stop playing with yourself, Hooper!" Even now, I catch gestures and facial expressions I've missed in the numerous times I've watched it. JAWS, they'll never be another. I salute ya!

I remember watching this movie on a VHS recorder as kid. There were the others too. I will never forget one scene in particular. These kids had their feet dangling overboard on that boat and the shark was approaching from under the boat, and I lifted my feet up in fear, I was so engrossed. Cannot forget that, ever - must be 30 years ago at least.

I first saw it in 1979 when it was re-released to theaters. Like yourself, I was totally engrossed with the action. There have been many shark movies with improved special effects, but there will only be one JAWS.

Agree with you Sky. I wonder how it would on 3D. It would be just amazingly frightening I bet.

Awesome! Spielberg would be even more a genius if he could have pulled that off at the time

Indeed. We never know what they will come up with. Being a blockbuster, it may be a strong probability too.

Damn, Skyy, Jyst when I thought it was safe to go back onto EP! Great movie - I've seen it twice and parts of it many times and i usually dont watch a movie more than once. Incidentally, Jaws was filmed in part in Falmouth, which in on Cape Cod and on Martha's Vineyard, which is an island just off Cape Cod. I live in Massachusetts about 50 miles from Falmouth. If you play your cards right, you can come and visit me and we can take the ferry from Falmouth to Martha's Vineyard, which is also the summer home to a slew of celebrities. I havent been there in quite a few years. Let's see, we took our youngest to both Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard when she was in college so YIPES, that was about 20 years ago! It's a great place for a day trip(I heard that you were a Day Tripper, anyway) and, I'll even let you buy me lunch, there

Hey KB, it's safe to go back onto EP but still not the water. (Jaws Music...)
