I have always loved jazz. And jazz is my style. People are always telling me I have that natural jazzy sound to my voice. That is a major compliment for me. Jazz is amazing... an awesome sound... a beautiful art... and all that jazz... =]

Have you heard Nina Simon and Cassandra Wilson? Consider: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZaN5Vj9TN0

Definitely! I agree. I tell you what, though, I love to sing "All That Jazz" from Chicago. Amazing. And Catherine Zeta-Jones did a wonderful job of it in the movie.

Umm.. I don't know... can't really pick a favorite, you know?

Yeah, I know. I agree.

Jazz is something you do not hear a lot of now days. I love some of the old time jazz.

Love classic be-bop and who can forget Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, etc., etc.

But have you heard the young lions of late? Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Vijay Iyer, etc.

That would be a rather nice comment.

People tell me that the writing style in my book reminds them of improvizational jazz - I couldn't think of a better compliment.
