He Spoke To Me!

When I was younger, I used to envy my friends because they had nicer houses, nicer clothes, and expensive possessions. I was unhappy with my life and thought it was unfair that I couldn't have all the fancy things that everyone else seemed to have. Then one night I went to sleep and dreamed that I had won the lottery. I was standing in a beautiful, glittery, expensive gown, and I was so happy because finally I looked more elegant than anyone. The next thing I knew, Jesus was in front of me. He looked at me with pure, gentle love, and said, without a hint of scorn or condemnation, "I have not such a beautiful garment, but God opened the Kingdom of Heaven to me". When I woke up, I knew that it had been more than a dream. I could still feel the love in His words. I have learned to appreciate the love of my wonderful family, and the fact that I have a roof over my head and food to eat when others do not. And I have passed the lesson on to my beautiful son. He has learned to empathize with those who have less than he does, and not to worry about those who have more.

That is a truly wonderful story and gift to you! Thanks for sharing the lesson... :)

Beautiful

You are a good mom and that was a great experience to have.
I wish Jesus would speak to me. I would have 1001 questions for him
He would be like.........oh no......it's Raymond again..........lol

Thank you for sharing that with us.

Thank you for your support. I am happy to share the truth of His love. :)

Hey Abbey,
You really are blessed because your heart is pure. You were able to look up to him, hear him speak and relive it again. On sept 4th, 2004 night when He appeared to me, I was was not able to look up to his light. The beam of light from which he appeared and said something, which i was not able to hear or recollect. I personally love Christ but when He emerged from light and his radiance got me frightened, I just kneeled and bowed down in embarrassment because my garment was dark, and i was surrounded in darkness. Thank you for reminding me again of that night.
May God bless you always...

Maybe you didn't hear words, but you showed Him reverence, and acknowledged Him as Lord, and His mere presence conveyed to you His love. I hope you gained hope and strength from His visit, and are in a better place now.

jesus is the lord of lords my friend.

Amen.

you are salt my friend.

Thank you.

stay with that power you're feeling.

I do. My life is radiating with love right now. Sometimes the power and beauty of it takes my breath away.

salt ?

This story is amazing:)
I'm so happy that you let us read your experience .. It goes to shows us that mAterial things aren't as important as the love of Jesus Christ:).. And that he doesn't look at what we have but what we have in our hearts:)..
God bless

Do you know what I envy the most? When people can say they have such encounters with our creator and our heavenly brother, Jesus. These two beings are not of this world but they love us like no other can and it is a love we will not be able to understand unless we are in his presence. I think I did hear his voice in a dream as well when I was 16 but sometimes it feels a little childish when I think about it. It's one of those things where I'm not sure if it was just me dreaming or if he actually invited himself in.

I think it is a HUGE honor for him to come to you out of all the people in world who had problems related to you to give you peace in the most gentle way. Jesus understood what you were going through, which was why he was not upset or insulting you.

So encouraging!!!!!

Thank you, Alexander. Your story is truly inspiring. It's beautiful that you overcame your injury, and now live in grateful service to the Lord. It's good to say thanks, but you are giving thanks, by giving of yourself.

Thank you Abbey,
Wow, Jesus does give interesting facts and thank you for giving your experience to share =)

Lucky. I wish He would talk to me

Thank you. I can still picture it, and feel His infinite love.

Thank you so much! It is amazing. Those simple words spoke volumes, and changed everything. I thank God for touching my heart, and opening me up to true contentment. *Hugs*

What a beautiful story Abbey! It is so amazing when we hear Him, it changes everything! We thought we knew who we wanted to be and then He touches us and turns us into someone greater than we could dream possible. Thank you for sharing this treasure, Sweetheart! Had to add it to my favs! Hugs!! <3

Thank you! :)

Great Post!

Thank you, that is so true.

I, also, at one time thought that it was how I looked and what I wore that made me the person I was. Now, I know that is so untrue. It is the person within that is what is important. We must have the desire to do good and be good, not for the gain of Heaven or good labels here on earth, but for the sake of having done the good thing.

Aww, thank you for reading it and commenting! *Hugs* (Love that avvie!) :)

Oh, how wonderful. Have you written about it? I would love to read your story.

I had one of the same experiences.

So true. All the events of our lives, good and bad, are lessons to be learned, to help us grow into who we should become. Even when the lessons seem harsh, we must have faith that they are for our ultimate good. Thank you for your lovely comment.

Thank you all. I don't think it's a coincidence that after I learned to be grateful for what I had, I seem to be more blessed with the wonderful things that money can't buy.

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven...

This means that he who values riches and the *things* it can but has not put God and His wisdom first.

There is nothing wrong with having money..... just the danger that it may become your *idol* rather than the focus upon God and your eternal salvation

Jesus your a super star, Your the only super star of universal. We love you our lord.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

God bless!

So true. And what He has blessed me with in my life is worth more than all the money in the world.
