Hi There Fellow Polyglots And Wannabes!

Yeah I am proud to be a polyglot! So I speak the following languages: English (doesn't count, does it?), Hindi, Bengali, Urdu, Marathi, basic German and Spanish, a smattering of Chinese and a smaller smattering of Danish. I'm learning Chinese, and I am eager to learn German and Danish better, so where are the teachers out there?

I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say you're Indian?

When did you start studying the others? It seems people who learn several languages at a young age are better at picking up additional ones later in life.

Me too, but I don't have the willpower to stick with it so I generally just pick up words and phrases. Though it's interesting how much you can guess at various European languages with a bit of Latin, a basic comprehension of French and some awareness of historical linguistics.

That's pretty impressive. You don't play a musical instrument by chance do you? There seems to be a correlation between that and the ability to pick up on different languages.

There's an a-ha it seems. Explains why you got a knack for learning so many languages. I tried Italian in high school and wasnt too bad, but I guess my depression took me out of it. -_-

I don't know...I'ma wannabe lol. That's great! I'm jealous! I hope you find your teachers :)

very smart...

Clever man.

Nice list. :)
