My Outlook
Let’s be optimistic, let’s look at life through rose tinted spectacles. I’ve always been “a glass half full” type of guy and often wonder why so many people I meet are exactly the opposite. I mean, a smile costs nothing and if I’m not careful every “happiness cliché” that has ever been written will find its way into this paragraph. Sure life has a nasty habit of coming along and kicking you in the nuts now and then but it’s how you deal with life’s little nasties that defines you. You are going to get knocked down, no one sails through life without any misfortune but it’s how you react, how you pick yourself up that matters.
My Motto for Life
My motto for life (if I had one) would be something like “find love, find happiness, find friendship and live your life, enjoy your life. Keep goodness and God in your heart and always try and do the right thing”.
I Believe in
I do believe in love, true love. I believe two people can share something that is beautiful, amazing and unique. I believe in the kind of love where two people are completely and utterly bound to each other, their emotions as well as their limbs entwined. I want to be thinking about my love when we are apart, her smile, the sound of her voice, the smell of her hair and the softness of her lips and I want her to be thinking the same way about me.
Hey and I’m a man!
I also write. I write better when my emotions are in a whirl, when my muse inspires me but I do like to write
Empty Summers Day

On a lazy summer sky,
Blue canvas for my thoughts,
Again I’m drawn back to you,
Again my mind contorts,
I wonder what I’ve left with you,
That I can’t break away,
I wonder why I need you so,
On a perfect summers day.
When autumn leaves turn and fall,
No doubt I’ll feel this way,
When ice and frost decide to call,
I’ll know that I’ll be grey,
As grey as clouds that tell of storms,
As grey as winters way,
But that will come, in bad time,
Now it’s like a distant chime,
One I’ll always know is there,
But it really isn’t fair,
That on a lazy summer’s day,
With no clouds and no reason,
I then turn back to you,
There’s no golden autumn season,
There’s no frosty garden dew,
Just a lazy summer’s day,
And an empty sky,…. and you.

I didn’t say I was any good
