I Love It...

I really love living in Manchester (the British one).  It's the kind of place that a lot of people are prejudiced towards, but I much prefer the general feeling of Manchester to London.

I like how varied it is; I've lived in Manchester all of my life, yet still never fail to take the wrong bus/tram/train etc, and  the architecture is all so different, but it seems to all work together in a weird sort of way.

I've been trying really hard not to mention the amazing shopping facilities, also, but it was bound to slip out...

Also, it's good for going to Old Trafford, even though it does make going anywhere complete hell because of the traffic, but I guess that's what you've gotta pay in order to be head of the Premiership...

But more than anything, I like how comfortable I am here; we go away to Wales quite often, and I can't sleep 'cause I've got used to the noises of the city...

(Not to mention the fact that some of the best British bands come from Manchester.  Actually, I think that's my favorite thing about Manchester - the music. ie, Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, James, The Ting Tings (actually from Salford), Elbow (Ok, Bury, but it's not too far away...) etc. etc.)

(Also I just remembered when a girl in my form came up to me and said "Oh my God! I just realized that the flight code for Manchester is MCR! As in My Chemical Romance!!"

God save me - I have another three years with this girl...)
