OooommmmmmI started meditating at the age of about 8, though I didn't know what I was doing was meditation. I learned about actual meditation in high school. I started meditating everyday. I also started practicing yoga.
To this day when I get stressed out, I meditate. I meditate before all of my major tests at school, I meditate before job interviews and anytime my nerves get the best of me or when I can't get my noisy mind to shut the bleep up!
Music is my key. I listen to music with no words, either ambient techno, or earth sounds, and sometimes even Irish or American Indian music. It's very calming and allows my thoughts to flow freely from my mind and to rest in silence in my mind.
